Dear fellow law students,
We came to law school wanting to study how law can advance justice, but instead we got the Coase theorem and Pareto optimality. Are you struggling to find the connection? We sure are. We started this blog in part as a response — a desire to learn about and contribute to scholarship that makes the law more relevant to the pursuit of equality, fairness and a more just democracy.
If you’re experience has been anything like ours, let’s work together: Send us your questions. Questions like: Why is law and economics considered neutral? Where are race and gender as lenses of analysis? Who benefits from the private/public law binary? What would a progressive approach to contract law look like? We’ll do our best to help you find answers, and share them on the blog.
